The Aquasurge wave maker was first developed in 1996 to cater
for the needs of the serious reef hobbyist, who was looking for
a quality and innovative pump controller. We have since up-graded
the processor on our four pump unit to that of tidal simulation,
hence the name Tidal Simulator designed to replicate the ebb
and flow of tides over a twelve hour period. The tidal simulator
is ideal for aquariums of 48 inches and over, whilst our two
pump Reef model will handle smaller aquariums with ease. More
recently we have added our electronic level control system, the
Aquamaster, to monitor water levels in the main aquarium and
with additional float sensors, high and low water levels can
be monitored in a sump. Additional features include: audible
alarm, fill and float response times and precise feed pump control.
Our units have also been used commercially. The 1000 gallon
reef exhibit at Kew Gardens requested a wave maker to operate
large ITT marlowe pumps. Each pump was rated at 1000 watts. This
unit has been in continual operation for the past four years.
The Aquamaster has been used successfully in a chain of pet stores,
again operating large pumps to control evaporation in a centralised
filtration system.
All our products are batch numbered and tested before shipping
and conform with the relevant UK and European electrical standards
and display the CE approved mark.
